Hunger - Falin Fanart

This illustration sat unfinished for quite some time before I finally came back to it.
The initial inspiration came from an angel reference I found online, but as I kept working on the piece, it naturally evolved into my own interpretation of Falin's transformed form from Delicious in Dungeon.
What interested me most wasn't simply recreating her design, but exploring the contrast that makes her so compelling. I wanted her to appear almost divine at first glance—serene, elegant, and ethereal—while gradually revealing the unsettling hunger and loss of humanity that define her transformation.
Revisiting the piece meant changing much more than the rendering. I completely reworked her expression, adjusted the atmosphere, and introduced more visceral elements to better communicate that duality.
This project reminded me that sometimes the strongest illustrations aren't the ones finished quickly, but the ones that are allowed to evolve until the story finally feels right.
